Cream the butter and sugar, beat in the eggs, then fold in the flour, baking powder and milk.

Spread in a lined tin and scatter the berries over the top.

Rub the crumb ingredients together with 50 g extra flour and scatter over.

Bake at 175C for 45-50 minutes until a skewer comes out clean.

Cool in the tin and cut into squares.
