Instructions

    Toss the peaches with 70 g of the sugar and the cornflour and spread in a buttered dish.

    Bake at 190C for 10 minutes while you make the topping.

    Rub the butter into the flour, baking powder and remaining sugar, then stir in the milk to a soft dough.

    Drop spoonfuls over the hot fruit, leaving gaps.

    Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and bake 28-30 minutes until the topping is golden and cooked through.

    Rest 10 minutes and serve warm.
