Instructions
- 1
Put the coconut milk, cream of coconut, condensed milk, and evaporated milk into a blender.
- 2
Blend everything together until completely smooth.
- 3
Add the rum, ground cinnamon, and vanilla. Blend briefly to combine.
- 4
Taste the mixture. Add more rum or sweetness if you like.
- 5
Pour the liquid through a fine strainer into bottles to remove any coconut fibers.
- 6
Chill in the refrigerator at least overnight before serving for the best flavor.
- 7
Shake the bottle well. Pour cold into small glasses and top with a cinnamon stick if desired.
Chef's tips
Chill all ingredients before blending. Let the finished coquito sit in the refrigerator for at least a day so the spices fully blend.
Storage
Refrigerate in sealed bottles up to 2 weeks.
Reheating
Not applicable, served cold.
Common mistakes to avoid
- โขServing right away without chilling, which keeps the flavors from developing fully
- โขSkipping the strainer, leaving a gritty texture from coconut fibers
