Heat butter in a pan. Fry the ginger-garlic paste until it smells fragrant.

Add tomato puree. Cook until it thickens and turns slightly darker.

Stir in the cashew paste, red chilli powder, salt and a touch of sugar.

Simmer gently for 10 minutes until the gravy is smooth and rich.

Add paneer (firm cottage cheese) cubes. Simmer gently for 5 minutes without breaking them.

Pour in cream and mix well. Add a little water if needed to adjust the thickness.

Sprinkle crushed kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves) on top.

Simmer briefly. Serve hot.
