Instructions

Roll the pastry into a rectangle about 5 mm thick.

Spread with the soft butter and scatter the brown sugar and cinnamon over evenly.

Roll up tightly from the long side and chill for 15 minutes.

Cut into 2 cm slices and set them cut side up in a buttered dish.

Pour the cream around them and bake at 190C for 18-20 minutes until bubbling and golden.

Cool briefly and serve warm with the caramel from the dish spooned over.

Chilling before slicing keeps the spirals from squashing flat.
