Mix the mashed potatoes with mashed peas, cornflour, roasted cumin powder and salt.

Shape the mixture into flat, round patties.

Heat oil on a tawa (flat griddle). Fry the patties until golden and crisp on both sides.

Place two tikkis (fried patties) on a plate and lightly crush them.

Spoon the whisked yogurt, tamarind chutney and green chutney over the top.
