Cook the boiled black-eyed peas, ash gourd slices, thin coconut milk, and slit green chillies together. Cook until the gourd turns translucent.

Add salt. Simmer gently on low heat for 8-10 minutes.

Pour in the thick coconut milk. Warm it through gently without letting it boil hard.

Turn off the heat. Add the curry leaves and raw coconut oil.

Cover the pot for a few minutes to let the flavours blend before serving.
Chef's tips
Keep the heat very low once you add the thick coconut milk so it does not split. The ash gourd should hold its shape and not turn mushy.
