Instructions

Cut the biscuits in half across the middle.

Melt the butter in a cast-iron skillet over medium heat.

Place the biscuit halves cut-side down in the skillet.

Fry for 2-3 minutes until the cut sides turn golden and crisp.

Flip the biscuits over. Fry the other side briefly to warm it through.

Take the biscuits out of the skillet. Serve them warm with sorghum syrup or apple butter.

Use day-old biscuits for the best texture. Very soft, fresh biscuits can easily fall apart in the pan.
