Boil the sweet potato until completely soft. Peel the skin and set it aside.

Wrap the ngari (fermented fish) in foil. Roast over a low flame until fragrant.

Roast the green chillies until their skins blister.

Mash the boiled sweet potato roughly in a large bowl.

Mash the roasted ngari and chillies into the sweet potato.

Mix in the chopped onion and boiled mustard greens if using.

Season with salt. Mix everything well, but keep the texture chunky.

Garnish with coriander and serve at room temperature with rice.
