Instructions

    Heat mustard oil in a pan. Fry the pork fat or pork pieces until lightly crisp.

    Add the sliced onion. Cook until softened and golden.

    Stir in the ginger, garlic, and green chillies. Fry until fragrant.

    Add the turmeric powder. Mix it well into the pork.

    Add the mashed fermented soybean. Stir thoroughly to mix it into the pork.

    Cook on low heat for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally so it does not stick.

    Add a splash of water if it is too thick. Simmer for another 8 minutes.

    Season with salt to taste. Keep it as a thick, semi-dry curry.

    Serve hot as a side dish.
